Manchester City Ready to Offer £100 Million For Barcelona's Lionel Messi
Manchester City has told Barcelona it is prepared to break the world transfer record to bring Lionel Messi to the Premier League, according to reports.
Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, worked with Messi at Barcelona between 2008 through 2012, where the pair won 14 major trophies.
According to The Sun, they could soon be reunited, with City telling Barcelona it will offer £100 million ($121m) for the 29-year-old Argentinian.
The move would smash the current world transfer record set last summer, when Paul Pogba rejoined Manchester United for £90 million ($109m).
